Please read these Terms of Service (the "Terms") carefully. They govern your access to and use of the FaceMeet websites, web application, meetings, team chat, scheduling, recording and live-streaming features (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization, and "you" includes the organization.
1. Accounts and eligibility
1.1 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Guests who join a meeting through an invitation link do not need an account.
1.2 You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and passkeys secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at https://facemeet.net/contact-us if you believe your account has been compromised.
1.3 Organization owners and administrators control the accounts, meetings, recordings and settings of their organization, including inviting and removing members.
2. The Services
2.1 We provide the Services as described on our website and in your plan. Features available to you depend on your plan.
2.2 We may change, improve or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.
2.3 Some features connect to services operated by others, such as calendar providers or live-streaming platforms you choose. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
3. Plans, billing and renewals
3.1 Paid plans are billed in advance for the billing period shown at checkout or on your invoice. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage your plan in the Admin Center under Plans and Billing.
3.3 If a payment is not received, we may limit paid features or move the organization to the free plan after notice. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in writing.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual-property rights;
- record or stream participants without the notices or consents required by law;
- send spam, malware, or harassing, threatening or abusive content;
- access accounts, meetings or data without authorization, or test, probe or disrupt the Services' security;
- resell or provide the Services to third parties without our written agreement.
We may remove content or suspend access that violates this section.
5. Your content
5.1 You keep all rights to the content you and your participants provide, including meeting content, recordings, chat messages and files ("Customer Content").
5.2 You grant us the limited right to host, process, transmit and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Services.
5.3 Hosts are responsible for informing participants when a meeting is recorded or streamed and for obtaining any consent the law requires.
6. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Statement at https://facemeet.net/privacy explains how we handle personal data. We protect the Services with technical and organizational measures described in our Trust Center at https://facemeet.net/trust.
7. Suspension and termination
7.1 You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account in My Account → Data & Privacy. Organization owners can close their organization's account in the Admin Center.
7.2 We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.
7.3 After termination, Customer Content is deleted in line with our retention practices, except where we must keep it by law.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your Customer Content or your use of the Services in breach of these Terms or the law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account owners by email or in the Services before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services, unless you have signed a separate written agreement with us, which then prevails. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where FaceMeet is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
